I've changed my mind about how I am going to do this section. Since, I am not up on top of everything that is happening I am just going to put all the news stories here. I haven't figured out how to put them into links with out actually putiing them in the link section, so the addresses are here. Just highlight them. USA ties Canada 1-1 off a Kristine Lilly penalty kick. In the game Siri Mulnix reeceived a bruised knee form Charmaine Hooper and was replaced by Briana Scurry just to be cautious for the olympics.

In the closed door match on Tuesday the United States Women's Soccer team tied Russia 1-1 off a Joy Fawcett penalty kick. Make sure to watch the game on sunday, August 20th vs Canada in Kansas City,MO on ESPN2.

USA crushed Russia 7-1 with: Milbrett scoring 2, Parlow scoring 2, and Hamm, Akers, and Foudy each scoring 1. Before the game Mia Hamm was honored in a presentation for achieving her 200th cap in Norway. During the halftime show a music video was played to honor the achievement. The video was "Can I Get Your Number (A Girl Like You)" by No Authority in which footage of Hamm's soccer career was shown. Next Sunday the team will go against Canada in this final tour before the Olympics begin.

The US lost to Norway 2-1 in a final tune up before the olympics. Mia Hamm was offered a deal to play soccer with Kolbotn for three weeks before the olympics. She has not decided if she wants to take the offer yet.

US tied Norway 1-1. Five veterans were sat out during the first half of the game. The goal was a Serlenga shot that bounced off the goal keeper(Nordby) and rolled in.
